When ventilation is a
part of the architecture

KE Fibertec provides textile-based ventilation solutions that combine function, aesthetics and sustainability. Designed for architects who want freedom in form, colour and expression

From laboratories to learning environments — we deliver to all building types.

Our ventilation solutions are used in everything from hospitals and offices to sports halls and cultural buildings. See a selection of our projects where aesthetics, function and sustainability go hand in hand.

Documentation

An aesthetic and sustainable choice

Our textiles are produced with care for the environment. KE Fibertec is the world's first manufacturer of textile-based ventilation with full EPD documentation

Environmental certification

We offer complete EPD documentation with calculations for all components included in our solution. In this way, our EPD gives insight into every footprint when choosing textile-based ventilation from KE Fibertec. At the same time, we can help with documentation packages for how our textile-based ventilation solution can contribute to the criteria for a DGNB certification for sustainable construction.

Recyclable materials

Our textile materials are selected with a focus on recyclability and minimal resource consumption. Our primary qualities are woven Cradle to Cradle approved materials and we have a strong focus on not using environmentally harmful dyeing methods. For our CradleVent installations, we offer a return purchase scheme where we buy back obsolete systems. In addition, materials are selected that are designed for a long service life and the possibility of washing and recycling during the use phase. Overall, the choice of materials supports a more resource-efficient and circular approach, where both production, use and disposal are thought out from a lifecycle perspective.

Lower footprint benefits the climate

Textile-based ventilation has up to 4-5 times lower carbon footprint than conventional solutions with steel. Our solutions are made of a lightweight and flexible material and sized to suit each individual room. For hanging, our rails are always delivered truncated on target, which partly provides better ergonomics but also ensures less waste. The weight of our materials ranges from 260 - 330 g/m2, so textile-based ventilation weighs much less than steel ducts. This makes the solution more manageable and provides a lower carbon footprint with easier transport.

Own weaving mill

KE Fibertec is the only manufacturer of textile-based ventilation in the world to have its own weaving mill. We weave exclusively for ventilation and have more than 25 years of experience and expertise in the field. This gives us full control over raw materials and components, enabling us to ensure precise properties such as high shrinkage stability, colorfastness, documented fire resistance, and high dust holding capacity for longer wash intervals.

Case
FLUGT Museum

Textile-based ventilation creates an even, comfortable indoor climate without drafts and noise. The system adapts to the shape and use of the room - so comfort follows the design, not the other way around. One of our many beautiful installations is the Flugt Museum in Varde. Here, history and modern architecture are combined, where architectural firm BIG chose a textile-based solution for the design of the museum space. Here, textile ducts are integrated into the museum's ceiling solution without being directly visible.

The solution for both renovation and new construction

Get an insight into our many installations and several years of development of tailor-made solutions that ensure a healthy, comfortable and energy-efficient indoor climate. We combine technical expertise with an understanding of architecture to integrate ventilation elegantly into the building's design without compromising aesthetics. Our experience provides inspiration for how functionality and form can be combined, while optimally meeting indoor climate requirements and user experience.

Advice on environmentally friendly ventilation for the construction of the future

We are dedicated to understanding the unique architectural vision and integrating ventilation as a natural and harmonious part of the design. Through close dialogue and consultation, we ensure that the solution both supports the aesthetics of the building and meets the technical requirements for indoor climate, comfort and energy efficiency. The goal is a solution where function and form go hand in hand — without compromising on either design or function.
