Proven sustainability with EPD

‍An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is an environmental product declaration that documents the environmental impacts of a product throughout the product's lifecycle. An EPD must be third-party evaluated.

KE Fibertec's EPDs have been developed in accordance with the requirements of EN 15804+A 2:2019 and verified by IBU, Germany.

An EPD is a summary of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) documented in a more comprehensive report. The report is an in-depth and verified study of the environmental impacts over the lifetime of the textile duct. KE Fibertec offers EPDs for GreenWeave and Multiweave solutions, and the verified reports can be downloaded here.

Together with the new EPDs, KE Fibertec has launched a new EPD generator where we can offer dynamic calculations per project. In the verified calculations, it is the environmental footprint of the entire product
‍GWP total in kg CO2 eq per 1 kg total textile duct incl. mounting brackets, accessories and packaging.

The environmental footprint is typically disclosed for the following conditions:

KE Fibertec offers full EPD documentation, regardless of whether it is an offer or an order.

It is important that you ask your supplier to make a complete calculation for the entire product and not just for the textile. In a typical textile duct, the textile surface makes up only 34-35% of the total environmental load.
