DGNB Denmark Renovation and New Construction version 2025 1.0.0

With the certification “DGNB Renovation and New Construction”, developers, contractors and consultants get a common tool to promote and collaborate on sustainability measures for major renovations or major new construction. With a series of measurement points that collectively measure a renovation or construction project based on several parameters, the certification provides an overall insight and documentation of the individual project.

Back in 2021, KE Fibertec, in collaboration with Rambøll Danmark A/S, produced our first documentation package on how textile-based ventilation (TBV) can contribute to points in sustainable construction according to the DGNB standard. Now KE Fibertec is ready with the latest version, DGNB Danmark Renovation and New Construction version 2025 1.0.0., which contains the biggest changes in certification for more than 12 years. Among other things, the six qualities from previous manuals have been reduced to the three main qualities environmental, economic and social quality. At the same time, the new version includes an update with the addition of three certification stages - as designed, as built and as in service - and the number of criteria and indicators has been reduced from 36 to 15 criteria, respectively, as well as from 360 to 150 indicators.

In addition to KE Fibertec still being able to document how our textile-based ventilation solutions in the materials GreenWeave and MultiWeave can contribute to a building certification after DGNB Denmark 2025, we can now also offer our customers a better score when we compare the certification with our EPD documentation. Because our EPDs are third-party verified, our customers are guaranteed a reliable documentation. In addition, we have further developed our advanced 3D program, TBV Designer, to include complete CO2 documentation with calculations on everything from textiles, assembly parts and accessories to packaging. Thus, our CO2 documentation is not drawn up on the basis of a standard template, but on the basis of the climate burden and lifecycle of each specific TBV solution from production and use to disposal. At KE Fibertec we are therefore pleased to now have documentation ready according to the latest version of the DGNB standard, so that we can collectively offer an updated and complete documentation for the certification of sustainable construction.
