Material knowledge ensures a good indoor climate

The importance of focusing on quality and climate in ventilation solutions
All our textile materials are woven at our own weaving plant in Denmark, where, using the latest technology in air weaving, we have full control over the entire production process — from yarn to finished textile material. For KE Fibertec, it's not just about weaving textiles. It is about weave the threads around the air to ensure an optimal, uniform and controlled air exchange. That is why we place very high demands on both materials and processes throughout the value chain.
All raw materials undergo a comprehensive entry check before starting weaving, and we place strict requirements on our subcontractors. We do not compromise on quality in any part of the process — from the initial winding up of the yarn to the delivery of finished stock items.
Our two primary materials, GreenWeave and MultiWeave, produced on the basis of fire-retardant granules, which are spun into polyester fibers. The difference between the two materials lies primarily in the way the fibers are spun before being processed into finished yarn. Common to both materials is a extremely low oil content as well as a maximum shrinkage rate of less than 5%.
These characteristics are quite unique and essential for us to deliver very high quality woven textile materials. At the same time, they allow us to precisely control the air permeability of the materials — a key factor in achieving proper and comfortable ventilation without drafts.
The in-depth knowledge of our raw materials combined with the high requirements for our subcontractors makes it possible to adapt the weaving precisely to the desired volume of air and the way the air is to be distributed in each room. This is the essence of KE Fibertec's textile-based ventilation solutions.
In the video, Frank Hansen explains more about the yarns used in the weaving mill and why a very high level of material knowledge is so important for KE Fibertec and our textile-based ventilation solutions.
