From yarn to
fresh air

We only weave fabrics for ventilation — and that makes us specialists in the field

KE Fibertec Weaving are the only ones in the world that exclusively weave textiles for textile-based ventilation. It gives us full control over raw materials and materials, allowing us to ensure precise properties such as high shrinkage stability, color fastness, proven fire properties and high Dust Holding Capacity for longer wash intervals.

Cradle to Cradle Materials

Cradle to Cradle Materials

We offer materials that are woven into Cradle to Cradle certified yarns, which are part of our circular business model.

We guarantee uniform materials with a completely consistent air passage, ensuring optimum performance and reliability.

Brand Approved Materials

Brand Approved Materials

All of KE Fibertec's materials are of course brand approved according to DS 428 and meet the requirements of material class B-S1-D0 for air bags such as textile ducts.

High level of material knowledge

All of KE Fibertec's textile materials are woven at our own weaving plant in Denmark, where with advanced air weaving technology we have full control over the entire process — from yarn to finished textile. We weave not only fabrics, but threads around the air to ensure optimal and uniform air exchange.

We place high demands on raw materials and sub-suppliers, and all materials undergo thorough quality control. GreenWeave and MultiWeave are manufactured from fire-retardant polyester fibers with very low oil content and a maximum shrinkage of less than 5%. This ensures precise control of air permeability and a consistent, high quality — adapted to the specific volume of air in the room.

Coloring reduces water consumption

At KE Fibertec, we take responsibility for reducing our resource consumption — especially water. Previously, our fabrics were primarily dyed after weaving, a process that requires up to 25 litres of water per kg of material. Therefore, we have purposefully reduced this method and instead opted for staining processes with much lower water consumption.

Today, our yarns are dyed by methods that use only about 5 litres of water per kg, or by dyeing granules where no water is used at all. This has resulted in annual savings of over 1 million litres of water and a 67% reduction in water consumption and wastewater.

Since 2023, we have also been offering digital printing with environmentally friendly, water-based colours — a flexible solution with up to 1,600 colours and no use of water.

Control of air flow

Textile-based ventilation makes it possible to supply the room with exactly the amount of air that ensures an optimal indoor climate — whether in a classroom or a large production hall. With our own weaving plant, KE Fibertec can adapt the weaving completely to the customer's needs and offer more than 84 variants with different permeability, so that the solution is tailored to the concrete construction.

All our materials are permeability-stabilized and quality-assured from thread to finished textile. This ensures consistent air flow, low energy consumption and a reliable ventilation solution — with full traceability and uncompromising quality.

Frank Hansen explains in video below how we can control the permeability of the weave.

Upcycling waste to new products

At KE Fibertec, we have been focusing on more sustainable solutions for many years. Today, we can document zero waste at our weaving mill through optimization and recycling of residual materials.

Through strategic collaborations, over 35 tonnes of residual material is recycled annually into new products, including acoustic panels. In addition, we recycle both cones and excess yarn in our own production. Overall, in recent years we have sent up to 50 tonnes of waste to new purposes — an important step towards our goal of CO₂-neutral production in Denmark by 2030.

Unique design feature with ECO printing

KE Fibertec offers unique design functionality with bespoke design options in textile-based ventilation.

In line with our strategy to offer sustainable ventilation solutions with Cradle to Cradle approved materials, we now offer ECO printing with environmentally friendly, water-based inks in up to 1,600 colors.

We can also design your next textile-based ventilation project with special layout, so if you have a custom color or pattern that you would like printed on the textile duct - of course all in Cradle to Cradle approved materials.

Regular maintenance extends the lifespan of
the solution

Like so many other things, ventilation systems require maintenance and regular cleaning to ensure optimal operation and the distribution of fresh air. Depending on the room in which the solution is installed, we can offer advice on how best to ensure gentle treatment of the fabric whilst extending the solution’s lifetime.
