Displacement ventilation with vertical fabric ducts

Stork Hengelo has installed a textile-based ventilation solution in a combined warehouse and production room. The solution is carried out as displacement ventilation, in which fresh air is supplied into the occupied zone at low speed. The revelation of this solution is the use of vertical textile ducts, which ensure efficient and comfortable air distribution.

The light gray fabric ducts are mounted vertically from the ceiling and all the way down to the floor. A total of 30 ducts have been installed in the room - 20 each 33 feet long and 10 each 16 feet long - all made of KE Fibertec's sustainable Greenweave material. To optimize air supply, the bottom 6 feet of each duct are perforated with evenly spaced holes all around the duct, done with the KE Inject System.

This solution ensures a uniform, draft-free air supply in the occupied zone, where the fresh air slowly displaces the hot and polluted air upwards. The result is a comfortable indoor climate with high comfort for employees, as well as an energy-efficient ventilation solution suitable for large spaces with both warehouse and production functions.
