Efficient air exchange ensures optimal training conditions in modern padel halls

In sports halls, a stable temperature level and a constant air change are essential for both athletes and spectators. When running, jumping and competing, both heat load and CO₂ levels increase rapidly — and without effective ventilation, the indoor climate can feel heavy and uncomfortable. Therefore, a steady supply of fresh air is essential to ensure optimal training conditions and a comfortable atmosphere in the hall.

In Kolding, a new, beautiful padel hall for the KIF Padel Club has recently been inaugurated. In close cooperation with Bravida Danmark A/S, KE Fibertec has delivered a complete ventilation system in the material MultiWeave in black — a solution that takes into account both functionality and aesthetics.

Padel is a space-consuming sport with relatively few players on a large area. This places special demands on ventilation, as large volumes of space must be ventilated efficiently — while at tournaments an increased number of spectators around the exhibition court must be taken into account. In the playing area, the textile ducts are strategically placed between the lanes, where they distribute the air via nozzles to both sides. Thus, fresh air is supplied to all lanes with a uniform and efficient air distribution, while maintaining the maximum ceiling height of the hall.

One of the significant advantages of textile ducts is the low weight compared to traditional steel ventilation solutions. Sports halls often have significant ceiling height, where installation can be ergonomically and practically demanding. The lightweight construction makes installation more flexible and reduces transport volume and handling costs at the construction site.

With many years of experience in sports hall ventilation, KE Fibertec knows the special considerations that must be taken into account during the design phase to ensure optimal air exchange. A key advantage of textile-based ventilation is that the entire surface of the textile duct acts as an air distributor. This ensures a uniform and efficient air exchange without bothersome drafts — even in large and open spaces.

The solution is always tailored to the layout and needs of the hall in relation to air volumes, load and use. At the same time, the design and color selection of the system are adapted, so that the ventilation solution integrates naturally into the architecture and visual expression of the hall.
