The combination of active high-impulse ventilation and passive low-impulse ventilation
The system can be performed for all our types of ducts and consists of a permeable textile material with groupings of small laser-cut holes in the channel surface. The laser-cut holes are located in the same patented hole design as for the KE-Inject system. The KE Inject Hybrid system is, in short, a low-pulse channel that is activated using laser-cut holes. This causes the low-impulse principle to be combined with the high-impulse principle, whereby part of the air volume in the system is dissipated away from the near-zone under the duct.
The production of hybrid high-impulse systems opens up a new world of flexibility, but at the same time it is extremely important to be aware of the requirements for the ventilation system. Quite a few rows of holes in a textile duct can change the flow from a passive low-pulse system to an active mixing system, and one of the great advantages of the technology is that in principle one and the same system can be sized to be passive in some zones and more or less active in other zones. Often used in industrial construction, sports halls or in public buildings.

Since 1974 KE Fibertec has been developing and producing textile-based ventilation in Denmark. We combine advanced technology with proven quality and deliver solutions that set new standards for comfort and energy optimization.
Hybrid solutions for comfort
Hybrid textile ducts, as mentioned on the previous page, help to disperse a partial amount of air away from the area under the duct. Compared to a low-impulse system, a larger cooling load can therefore be supplied per running meter without causing drag under the duct.

KE Fibertec AS today uses laser technology that enables the production of more advanced product variants, where passive low-pulse channels are made more active by laser-cutting a series of small holes or inserting nozzles into the textile material. The more holes or nozzles, the more active the textile channels naturally become, and the mode of operation changes from a passive low-impulse system to an active mixing system or a so-called hybrid textile channel.
Hybrid systems, in short, are low-impulse channels that are made active by the use of holes or nozzles. This causes the low-impulse principle to be combined with the high-impulse principle, whereby part of the air volume in the system is dissipated away from the near-zone under the duct. This offers clear advantages especially in cooling situations where ΔT is higher than 5-6°C, as this avoids a direct “cold drop” just below the duct. Instead, the cooling effect is distributed over a larger area of the room. The hybrid product variants therefore require a calculation of air velocities etc. for both the low-impulse and high-impulse parts, and of course it must be ensured that the air flow from each of these systems does not contribute to problems with comfort in the room.
The residence zone is the area of a room where people stay for a long time at a time and is defined as the area where the quality of the indoor climate is kept at a general level. The living zone is not a standardized area, but a zone that is defined from one project to another in consultation with the architect and the client. A seating area is usually defined as an area from the floor up to a height of 1.8 m for people with standing work and at a height of 1.1 m for people with sitting work.
