Antistatic materials

In the same way as KE Fibertec's HDC materials, the antistatic materials are made of Trevira CS staple fibre yarns, i.e. yarns that are spun of 38 mm long thin fibres.

In addition, antistatic materials contain 8% steel fibres which will cause any static charges generated from air friction with the fabric to be conducted to an earth connection with the steel supply duct.

Antistatic materials are often used for sensitive applications in which electrical charges may lead to interruptions, such as the electronics industry and server rooms, they can also be used in powder rooms where there is a chance that electrical charges may cause risk of explosions, such as refineries, chemical industry, battery production and filling stations.
