Second-best result for KE Fibertec AS

24-05-2019

Unfortunately, KE Fibertec AS in Vejen, DK, did not achieve their fifth consequtive record result. However, in the light of the slowdown in the fourth quarter on a number of markets we are very satisfied with a pre-tax profit of almost 18 M DKK, says Man. Director Carsten Jespersen.

After all, this is the second-best result in the company's history, and had we not experienced a stagnant and very price-sensitive market in the UK in the second half of 2018 in particular, we would have realized a result close to the level of 2017.

It also appears that the slowdown in sales in the fourth quarter was temporary and an indication that some projects were postponed due to the financial instability that hit the stock markets. We have definitely never experienced a better first quarter, continues Carsten Jespersen, and the good order intake seems to continue.

So even though we have taken on a number of new production employees in both Denmark and the Czech Republic, we are really busy despite the season, and that of course affects our general delivery time. Nevertheless, we have chosen to keep our new Express Line open for small rush orders as a service to our good customers, concludes Carsten Jespersen.
