KE Fibertec has been nominated in the world's largest and most prestigious growth competition
19-09-2025We are proud to be nominated for ‘EY Entrepreneur Of The Year’, a competition that honours the best entrepreneurs and their companies. The competition was launched in the United States in 1986 and takes place in around 60 countries, including Denmark, where the best Danish growth creators have been celebrated for more than 25 years.
Each year, six regional winners are selected, all of whom go on to the national final in Copenhagen, where winners are selected in the following categories:
- EY Entrepreneur of the Year (national winner)
- ESG
- Export and Globalisation
- Scaleup
- Life Sciences
- TECH
- Honorary Award
The national winner then participates in the global final, which takes place every year in Monaco. To qualify for the main competition, you must meet a number of criteria.
Quantitative criteria:
- The entrepreneur is the owner/co-owner of a Danish public or private limited company and has had overall responsibility for at least two years. The company may be listed on the stock exchange.
- The company must have submitted at least three annual accounts.
- At the end of the last financial year, the company had at least 20 employees.
- The company must have had at least 15% growth in gross profit or turnover in the most recent financial year.
- The most recent financial statements must show positive equity and a positive result.

- Earnings
- Strategic business development
- Personal integrity
- Innovation
- Future potential
