Impressing result by KE Fibertec despite market instability

- For the third year in a row KE Fibertec has managed to show a record-breaking result even though 2016 was a year of significant instability on a number of key markets. The total result before taxes of the KE Group reached approx. 15.3 million DKK and the net profit of the year was 11.6 million DKK, an increase of almost 9% compared with the record year 2015, and that is considered highly satisfactory, Managing Director Carsten Jespersen says.

- In many ways 2016 was a year of considerable instability on our key markets. The Brexit vote in the UK, the failed coup in Turkey, and the presidential election in the USA have affected and will undoubtedly also in future affect our sales on these vital markets on which we have established subsidiaries. In the late summer we experienced a period of low order intake, but whether that can be put down to these external circumstances, we don't know. For that reason we are now focusing on what we can address and will unaffectedly proceed with our growth plans according to our strategy plan, at least for the time being, Carsten Jespersen continues.

The key figures of KE Fibertec over the last four years:

KE-group figures [Mio DKK] 2016 2015 2014 2013

Number of employees 113 112 106 100

KE Fibertec AS is AAA credit rated by Bisnode Denmark.

2017 has also begun quite well with large orders in Germany as well as in the UK. All in all, we are very satisfied with this development, however, because of the political instability we have chosen to downgrade our expectations of the entire 2017 compared with 2016, Carsten Jespersen concludes.
