Textile Based Ventilation in Aerial Perspective

In September 2014 the helicopter airline Bel Air Aviation in Denmark opened up the doors for their new domicile and helicopter hangar in Esbjerg. Six ventilation ducts of each 20 metres provide uniform air distribution in the hangar, and the ducts are fitted with Ø18 mm nozzles that direct the air into the occupied zone below.

Consulting Engineers NIRAS, Bel Air's advisor, recommended textile ducts instead of steel ducts as they have good experience with this ventilation form. The competitive price was another decisive factor and then NIRAS were very satisfied with the personal advise and help with the dimensioning.
