The world's first Cradle to Cradle certified ventilation duct


CradleVent is the first ventilation duct in the world to receive the Cradle to Cradle approval by the EPEA Institute in Hamburg, Germany.

The certification documents the
sustainability of the product and
the fact that we take responsibility
of its life cycle from Cradle to Cradle,
ie. from production to recycling.

By establishing a circle now we can
meet the future shortage of raw
materials.

CradleVent is our contribution to a
future-proof and sustainable product
for air distribution in office buildings,
schools, laboratories, sports arenas,
public buildings, and other comfort
zones.

The increasing demands in terms of
sustainability and ressource efficiency
make it attractive for contractors and
architects to use the well-documented
CradleVent building component.


Initially Cradlevent textile ducts will only be offered in white Trevira CS material but other colours will follow on shortly after.

Cradle to Cradle is documented sustainability

With the Cradle to Cradle concept you see waste as food for a new production, this creates balance in the cycle. When the product is no longer usable we take it back for disassembly and recycling ready to be used in another technical cycle. This way nothing is wasted.

Gaining Cradle to Cradle certification was a time-consuming process but for us it was necessary to take responsibility and start designing products that will be useful rather than harmful for the environment.

To make the process a success we worked closely with Milestone Pro and upholstery fabric producer Gabriel A/S, they were the first company in Denmark to be Cradle to Cradle certified back in 2010. Gabriel has been our coach and inspiration in reaching our Cradle to Cradle goal.

It is very important for us that we can document the sustainability of our products which is why we have chosen the Cradle to Cradle system as this is the customer's guarantee that we deliver what we have promised.

Design freedom and a good indoor climate

Textile Based Ventilation offers many benefits. Textile ducts are tailored to match the room's interior design and colours. This allows textile ducts to become an integrated part of the building and open up to new architectural possibilities.

With textile ducts you get an efficient and draught-free air distribution and a good indoor climate.


Textile ducts are washable, this gives you the opportunity for energy savings as you lower the consumption of energy when the duct is clean.


Case

Located in Schiedam near Rotterdam, and designed by the architectural firm LIAG, this energy optimised  / CO2 - neutral 6,000m2 school was completed in 2013. LIAG invited students of different age to discuss their views of environmental and sustainable building solutions to create future-proof buildings. The TBV ducts have been designed throughout to match the architectural expression of the building, and KE Fibertec were proud to be part of this prestigious project
